Barnes Industries can recondition your worn acme lead screw by thread milling, whirling or regrinding back to original specifications. If the screw thread is worn beyond economical repair, a new acme screw can be manufactured on an expedited basis. A new replacement acme nut will be fitted to the new or reconditioned screw according to the class of thread accuracy required for each specific application. We can manufacture or recondition any type of conventional or special thread form (Acme, Stub Acme, Trapezoidal, Buttress and V-Thread), with capacities up to 8” diameter by 65 feet long

Barnes has the engineering know-how, skilled machinists and equipment to assist you in your conventional lead screw needs. We offer ground screws with a lead accuracy of .0005” per foot and a milled or whirled screw with .002” - .004” per foot lead accuracy. We can design and manufacture high accuracy or high load carrying acme screws with inch or metric leads. We can assist you with special lead screw materials. Price	Based on customers' specific servicing needs, competitive costs for new lead screws are determined. When the type of servicing and costs are determined, the customer is notified for a purchase order approval before any other operations are carried out.

Warranty	New lead screws will be warranted for 12 months or 10 million inches of travel whichever comes first.
