CLASSIFICATION

 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Quality Assurance Inspector will ensure that outgoing manufactured products meet company, industry and federal standards by conducting tests, monitoring processes and identifying malfunctions.

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all outgoing products for shipping.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
  • Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Display aptitude, attitude, and willingness to learn, and take on responsibilities for personal growth.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Certification in quality control is a plus but not needed for this role.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Good math and technical skills.
  • Ability to use measuring devices like calipers, micrometers, height gages and computers.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Ability to measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain a good attendance record.

WORKING CONDITIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, vapors, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Employees must also follow Company quality, safety, and personal protection equipment requirements (gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.)

HOURS / SHIFTS

Generally, Monday-Friday during the hours of 5:00am – 3:30pm, available to work OT as required.

Competitive wages are negotiable and commensurate with experience.
